All pups in new homes
Posted by: Bonnie-Bopin-Boogie-Babe (6th grade nick name)
So yesterday (Monday) The last of our 7 pup litter went to their new homes!
This is a picture of Sophia, she went with her brother Sarg to a GREAT home:

We dressed her up, and my sister in law Rachael figured out how to get a bow to stay in her fur! SO Cute! (Rachael…..YOU ROCK OUT LOUD!)

Our new puppy Rosco is doing great! He fits in wonderfully here! He is a bit more vocal then my others are though! hehe he barks when he plays, which is taking getting used to! hehe But as you can see, he is very comfortable with us:

He is still house training though, so we’re still working on things like that.

As far as my illness goes, last friday I ended up going back to my doctor because my cough that never fully went away from the pneumonia, was getting a bit worse, I was getting tired, and my ears were hurting and plugging & I lost my friggin voice…AGAIN!!! TOTALLY GONE! It was Crap-tastic!

Nothing but a whisper, or as a friend said, “my sexy voice”! The doctor said he thought he could hear something in my left lung again, so he sent me for another X-ray. Thank heaven there was NO pneumonia!!!! But My voice was gone for 4 days straight! And I started getting cold symptoms; cough (already) sinus issues, sore throat, ear pain and plugging, sneezing… all that fun stuff!

I have a GREAT story to tell about my voice being gone:
So, Sunday I went to church, and because of fibro fuzz, forgot that this week was my week to teach in primary. So I hurried and went to the library to get the packet and things I needed and found that my lesson was on “The still small voice”. LOL Isnt that just Perfect ! ? ! ? ! ? !
So when it came time to teach my lesson, I only had 3 kids, but as you know 7 year old kids can be hard to get to listen to you when your voice is normal, let alone when you can only whisper!
So, I got them sitting down and said “Ok, we are having a bit of a different lesson today. As you can tell my voice is gone, so you have to listen carefully to hear what I’m saying.”
And the amazing thing was, they listened!!!! Not only that, but they had to work hard to hear me! Some of the cuties actually started to whisper back! LOL It made for a VERY well behaved class!!!
Talk about good timing on that lesson! hahahaha
I’m sure that one will stick with them a little more then some of the others! hehe

Today, Tuesday, I have a Frog-like voice, but at least its something!
I’m hoping I quickly return to feeling like a human again, its been a LONG time now…. about a month and a half since I got pneumonia!

I wanted to list a few things that I have taken for granite this past month and a half:
- Talking (obviously)
- Taking a nice deep, refreshing breath without coughing
- Singing along to the songs on the radio (that has been KILLING me)
- Sing kids songs with the kids, while playing guitar
- Having enough energy to mow the lawn
- Having energy at all.
- Being able to walk without my chest hurting (this has KILLED my exercising!
- Being able to keep up on my house work without draining ALL energy from my body
- Having motivation & energy to cook.

I could go on and on….but I dont want to! haha that would take up a LOT of space, and I’m basically saying that the mundane every day things I do every day I actually am glad I can now do! I’m still recovering, so I’m trying to take it slow, but I am Very glad that I am able to do all these things. (Even laundry, which I LOATH!)

So, everyone take some time today and be glad you are able to do the things you can!
Even the things you HATE! One day you might find a reason to be thankful for things you never thought to be thankful before!
So, sing, dance, enjoy life and be happy! Life could always be worse!
