Swim lessons for the Girls
Posted by: Mom-A-Roonie
Savannah and Kiera started swimming lessons this week. My good friend teaches from her mothers pool. So its a nice private lesson, and I have to say, she does an Excellent job with those kids!
Some of you know my girls were aqua-phobic since they were just tiny, we have helped them whenever we get the chance, in the bath tub, or in our hot tub. And they have improved a Great deal. So we thought they were ready.

Savannah had her class first. They have been learning side breathing as they swim forward, proper use of arms while swimming on your back, and ways to use your ams and legs to help you swim faster

On her 3rd lesson they were all ready to start to learn how to dive.

Her favorite part of lessons lately is the diving board!

Kiera’s class is working on floating

And swimming with their faces in the water

They are also being taught not to plug their noses when they go under water, they are taught to “hum” out their nose, and then they wont get water up their noses and they can have use of both arms. They are also learning how to back float:

Kiera’s class started jumping off the diving board too, and man was she Excited!

The girls have been having a BLAST doing these classes! And Kudos go to my friend for a WONDERFUL job teaching!!!!
(Thanks Debbie!)

P.S. If the video’s dont play, check back later. I’m still trying to figure out how to do this video thing.
