WOW....Pain killers
Posted by: Bonzerdelly
So, Tuesday I Finally had my surgery, and I seem to be recovering well enough. (According to the doctor)
I wanted to share highlights from my experiences this past week.

First off, like Mark mentioned the nurses in pre-op were really funny. Not only did they have us both convinced I would be getting an enema, they also teased about “getting a running start”. OWIE! LOL They were hilarious!!! Just my kind of nurses!

The only thing I really remember about trying to come out of the anesthesia was thinking “Why cant they just let me sleep! I’m So tired!!” And hearing Marks BOOMING voice calling my name over and over! I don’t remember going home, just remember being there.

Thankfully I dont remember much pain at all….until the pain meds wore off and I got some of the worst sinus type head aches I’v ever felt! So then I’d POP another pain pill, and with it, I’d forget the rest of the day! LOL But at least the pain stopped! :)

The pain pills have made for some very “foggy” moments. I spoke to Melanie a couple days ago, and I dont remember much, except that for some reason she kept laughing! (Happy moodl I guessed)
Well, I spoke to her today and she told me that I was saying all kinds of strange things! Apparently I had dragons, and elephants that I was talking about.
I have a vague recollection of her mentioning “heffalups” off Whinny the Pooh, but I don’t remember what we were saying about it, only that it made Melanie laugh.
Well, we all enjoy a good laugh, I guess I was pretty funny. Glad to entertain Mel-Bel!! :)

Today I have not needed any pain meds, but I still feel rather spacy and out of it!

I think its hilarious that they put cocaine up my nose! LOL Thats a unique conversation piece!

So far though, my ear pain and plugging has left! (WAHOO!)
My nose is still stuffy, but that is expected till the tissues heal from the surgery. I am Very ok with taking 2 weeks to heal, since I’v already suffered for 4 months!

Thanks Everyone for your love and support!
Everyone has been great in caring for me, and my family!

Marko has really been a jewel!!!! The first couple days I have foggy memories of him feeding me ice chips, and drinks. He helped me walk for the first while, because my limbs were so weak.
Marko has been by my side all week, attending to my every need, buying flowers, cleaning, and doing all he can to make me smile!

Thanks Mark, your Wonderful!
