I’d like you to meet the Van Ormans:
A stop light, a dog, a fairy, and 3 pirates!
Crazy crew!
Now meet the Willesen family:
Jon was dressed as Mr. Monk off of the T.V. series “Monk”. And Melanie was his assistant. Their kids were sure cute too! Pumpkin and Transformer!
Then there is us:
Mark was ‘Klinger’ from M.A.S.H.
Specifically the episode where he tries to hang glide out of camp wearing a robe, & Fluffy slippers! He was quite the trooper to wear my grandmothers jewelry & purse, curlers in his hair & a hair net; knee high nylons & a garter!!!!!
Savannah wanted to be “A Who” from the Dr. Seus books.
Kiera wanted to be a “Snow Queen”. So, her and I just sort of made whatever she wanted for that. It was cute! I was kinda proud that they wanted to be something that wasn’t “the popular in-thing”, and tried to be a little more original.
I was dressed as a hippie, or “Flower-Child”.
And here is a good group shot:
Saturday my family got together to have our ‘Monster Mash’.
We wore surgical masks to help my father try and stay away from any illnesses. Kinda made for a fun twist, my sis Ang decorated several of them for the kids, and I ended up decorating mine.
My mom brought cupcakes and a million little things to decorate them with, here is Marks, made ALL out of edible things:
BRILLIANT isn’t it!!!!
Creativity was flowing out our ears that night!!
That was sure loads of fun!
We had the kids play a funny game, I had gotten ready several things for them to feel, and try to guess what it was without looking at it.
What I was expecting was “Eeew, worms”, but what I got instead was “Spaghetti & hot dogs”. I expected “Eeek, a slimy brain”! What I got was “Cauliflower”.
The ONLY thing that tripped them out a little was the “slimy tong”, which was a banana peel in oil.
So, that was a funny part of the night!
Well, I hope you all have a great Halloween, and I sure hope we have warmer weather for trick-or-treating!
