(On a side note we woke up at 5:00 am, and man, I never wanna wake up that early again! And….Yes, I’m a wuse! hehe)
She wore her princess PJ’s and brought a Very special purple stuffed Bunny-Pillow buddy that her Aunt Angie gave her the night before.
She was the first surgery of the day. The doctors and nurses were all wonderful! Talking directly to her, and being cute and silly with her to make her feel at ease. They brought in a kids wagon stuffed with pillows to wheel her back to surgery in, which she just LOVED!
They gave her “silly medicine” to help her relax before they took her from us, but that wasn’t what made her comfortable, it was the great staff there! They were just Wonderful with her!
It only took them about 25 minutes to do the surgery, and when they brought her out to us she was pail and “floppy”. She saw us and started to cry “I dont feel so good!” And one of the first things she said was “Is Nana here? I want Nana”. So we called Nana, who worked 1 block away, and she came running! She got there about the point they were getting ready to help us out the door. So she did get there in time to hug and kiss her and be there for her before we left, which Really meant a lot to her!
(Thanks Nana, You Rock!!)
She did really good at home yesterday! She slept, and ate pop cycles. She did try some soup, and apple sauce and was able to keep it down! So thats great!
Thanks to all you WONDERFUL people who called yesterday to see how she was doing, and all who came by to see how she was doing!!!
We have quite the support system!
Thanks Everyone! Your love and support means a lot to all of us!!!
