The title of this blog works on 2 levels.
1st, it refers to the wonderful rain we’ve been getting, and 2nd, it refers to the state of our week!
-To start out with, our health insurance is going to a totally SUCK-TASTIC plan, where we are going to be paying a LOAD out of pocket!
(3,000. ALL up front! Office visits, pharmacy visits, Everything is up front! See what I mean by SUCK-TASTIC!?!)
-Then, my computer decided that life wasnt interesting enough, and decided to go the way of the Dodo’s! It Crashed, and is now DEAD! I I have a strange urdge to take it outside, get a gun, and shooting it!!!!!
So now I have to use Marks computer to access everything, including my school stuff. Which is hard on days when he works from home. And honestly I think its driving him more crazy then it is driving me crazy! LOL
-Then, the car that Mark takes to work started overheating this last Friday, so Mark has been trying to biking it, but with this wonderful rain, he has had to use the van, which leaves me stuck at home.
(Which thankfully is not a big deal right now. Co-op is finished for the summer, and will start up again in the fall)
So we took the Car to Thomas Tire to figure out whats wrong with it.
-Then, our fridge (only about 3 years old or so) started wigging out on us.
(only 14 months ago we had a similar problem and paid up the wazoo to fix that…and it was out of warranty by 2 months. Doesnt it ALWAYS work that way?!?!?!?! I swear things are “programed” to break down a month after the warranty runs out!)
Anyway, so The Freezer was only freezing stuff on the bottom, the rest was defrosting. And our fridge wasnt very cold either. ( We discovered this Sunday. ) So we picked up some dry ice and stuck it int here till we could get a repair guy Monday.
Ok… So now we got our fridge worked on, It had a broken fan, we got it repaired for almost $200.
Then, the Thomas Tire called and told us that it would cost about $900 to get the problem fixed. So Mark told them with bike weather on the horizon he was just gonna bring it home without repairs. On the bright side, they were Really groovy and didn’t charge us for the diagnostic! (They RULE!)
He talked to Mark about either junking it to the junk yard for a couple hundred, or posting it on KSL, listing its problems, and see if anyone wanted it.
So, that evening Mark got on KSL, and was in the process of posting the car, when the phone rang. I teased and said “I’m gonna laugh if thats for the car”. And Mark said “Naw, I’m not finished yet, I’m just adding pictures”. Sure enough that was the first of the MANY calls we got. From that moment on, we got one call Right after another! The first caller ended up getting out here the quickest, and bought it! And as I was in the process of posting our add as “sold” we had another couple calls! It was just Crazy!
So now, our fridge works again, our car is gone, and I’m computer-less, and our insurance SUCKS BRICKS!
That’s it, in a nutshell!
And you know, life for people in our families has been on the rougher side of things too!
My brother in law, Matthew, up in Rexburg lost his job, My brother in law Chet left for boot camp and his family is gonna be without him for about a year, Ang’s husband’s company just got bought, and he is waiting to find out if he has a job or not, My sister Mandy had to replace their water heater, and my dads health is still about the same with his pneumonia after a month and a half!
So….bring it on baby, we’ve got our swim suites & floaties, … we’re ready to swim!
