Has anyone ever seen a movie called “The Ugly Dachshund”? Its an old movie done in 1966, that was just delightful! ( see picture from that movie here )

This movie is about a couple that has a litter of mini Dachshund puppies, and the vet talks that husband into letting a Great Dane puppy nurse from that Doxy mommy, and so the doxies and the great dane become a family! It is just So cute! But then again, I’m am a huge dog lover!

Anyway, I wanted to post some picture of a new member of our family, Scooby. Its my brother in law’s dog. He is a Great dane, mastiff mix!
(my brother in law actually owns him, but I’m trying to drop hints that we would TOTALY LOVE for this to be his forever home! Hint hint, wink wink Matt) LOL

These sweet dogs, though Very different in size, have become very sweet friends! Scooby only took a day or two to learn how to walk without stepping on one of them! (They are Very good at getting underfoot!)
Today Mark took some adorable pictures of my Doxies and Scooby playing!
Here is one that is a good show of the size difference in these two breeds!

Oh, and our little angel, Dot, is VERY pregnant with her first litter, you can see how FAT she has gotten!

Look at how close Dot’s belly is to the ground here! She is due in another 1-2 weeks.

Daisy needs to have a picture on here too, and since Mark did such an adorable job, here is Daisy in our Strawberry patch! Isn’t she the sweetest little thing?!?!

And you know, Scooby truly is a Gentle Giant! He lets little tiny kids get on his back like you would a horse, and he just stands there and holds still! He very carefully, and gently takes treats out of the hand of Mila (Who LOVES to try to sneak him treats) and he has been fed treats by my friends little boy, Noah, who is only 2 years old! He is So gentle about it its SO cute! The only thing is the kids usually end up with a very slobber covered hand! hahaha

One really cute story about Scooby is one day he tried to get up on the couch next to Daisy where she was sleeping. He first very slowly put his front paws on the small 2 person couch, then he paused there, looking around trying to asses how to get up there without disturbing her. (You could see exactly what he was trying to do by watching him!) Then after a minute, he slowly brought up one back leg at a time and and tried to snuggle in next to her. But with his mass, and the couch only made for 2, he accidentally pushed her right off the couch! LOL
I just laughed so hard! It was really cute! After being kicked off the couch, Daisy went and laid down on my recliner chair. Scooby walked over to her, saw there was just NO hope of fitting onto this one, so he curled up on the floor!
